Most Artists are not known for completing a project before starting something new, and I am no exception. So, let me introduce you to my newest treasure, a soon-to-be altered, Altar.
After several trips to visit it at the Antique Annex in Omaha’s Old Market area, I finally made the investment. I was told this one-of-a-kind find probably originated in a Catholic Church in Duluth, Minnesota and was brought to Omaha, Nebraska by David Shaw, a curator of antiques and fine art.
My plan is to fix the broken pieces and then (very lightly) alter it. Should I stick to the Catholic theme or go a bit darker? Either one would be intriguing.
